You've probably been on many road trips and seen lots of mountains. But let us tell you, the journey along the Spiti Circuit is something truly amazing. Driving on the Hindustan-Tibet Road is more than just a drive. It refreshes your soul and reminds you how great it is to be alive. Our special itinerary takes you from Delhi, through Shimla's misty hills, Kinnaur's rugged mountains, and Spiti's barren yet captivating valley, to the beautiful Manali.

In the remote parts of Himachal Pradesh, you'll find quaint Kinnauri villages and stunning Spiti Valley. It's like being in heaven for road trippers, where you experience old Tibetan culture and gain new perspectives on life.

  • Itinerary

     Day 1: Gathering in Delhi and Taking the Bus to Shimla.

    Let's meet up in Delhi at 6 pm and hop on the bus heading to Shimla. It's about a 10-hour journey, so we'll be traveling overnight.

    Day 2: Exploring Shimla and Narkanda.

    We'll arrive in Shimla in the morning and then head to Narkanda, which takes about 2 hours. Once we reach Narkanda, we'll relax until lunchtime. After lunch, we'll visit a nearby apple orchard farm and check out Tanni Jubbar Lake along the way. We'll spend the night in Narkanda.

    Day 3: Journey to Sangla (Chitkul).

    Today, we'll drive from Narkanda to Sangla, which takes around 7 hours. When we arrive, we'll explore Chitkul, the last village before the Indo-China border. We'll also take a stroll through Rakcham village and enjoy the breathtaking Himalayan views. We'll stay overnight in Sangla.

    Day 4: From Sangla to Nako to Tabo.

    We'll leave Sangla and head to Nako, visiting Nako Lake and Monastery along the way. After lunch, we'll continue our journey to Tabo, stopping at the Gue Mummy Stupa. If we have time, we'll also visit Tabo Monastery. We'll spend the night in Tabo.

    Day 5: Heading to Kaza.

    Today, we'll travel from Tabo to Kaza, which takes about 3 hours. Along the way, we'll visit Dhankar Monastery and if we have time, explore Kaza's local market in the evening. We'll stay overnight in Kaza.

    Day 6: Exploring Kibber, Hikkim, Langza & Komic.

    We'll visit Key Monastery and some small remote villages in Spiti Valley, like Kibber, Hikkim, Komic, and Langza. We'll spend another night in Kaza.

    Day 7: Journey to Chandra Taal via Chicham Bridge.

    We'll drive to Chandra Taal via Kunzum La pass, about a 5-hour journey. Along the way, we'll see the world's highest suspension bridge, Chicham Bridge. We'll explore Chandra Taal in the evening and relax at the camps in Batal. We'll spend the night camping.

    Day 8: From Chandra Taal / Batal to Manali.

    Our trip concludes with a scenic drive to Manali via the Atal tunnel. You'll have some free time to explore Manali on your own. This is where our journey ends.


    Things to carry

    • Valid Identity Proof: Passport or Voter ID Card, with 5 photocopies for each document.
    • 5 Passport Size Color Photographs

    • A light-weighted Haversack or Backpack, and a smaller Day Sack
    • Good pair of trekking shoes, and a pair of flip-flops
    • Woolen Gloves, woolen socks, Monkey Cap/Balaclava, Neck Scarf
    • Thermal Inners
    • Snow Jackets and Fleece Jackets
    • Waterproof gloves and windcheater/poncho
    • Personal clothing (Dressing Moderately is mandatory to visit Monasteries and Dzongs)
    • Cap, sunglasses, scarf
    • Camera, Binoculars (Optional)
    • Toiletries – Sunscreen, Moisturizer, Light towel, Lip balm, Wet wipes, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Hand Sanitizer
    • Extra Polythene Bags (To segregate used/ unused garments, wet/ dry clothing)
    • Any medicines that you consume normally, post consulting a doctor
