Kenya is the country in the Eastern Africa. Its eastern coast line has Indian Ocean. Kenya is famous for its Game Drives, in Indian context Jungle Safaris.
Kenya is a country through which equator passes. It has sunshine throughout the year. Grasslands and Shrublands are scattered all over where Big 5 animals habitat. The Big 5 include Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. There are around 11 national parks in Kenya and perhaps Masai Mara national park is the most famous.
Masai Mara is connected to Serengeti national park in Tanzania. Mara Triangle is part of Masai Mara Park where most of the sighting and drama could be seen. The river Mara gets flooded in rains and during annual migration thousands of animals mainly wildebeest, zebra cross the river and become easy prey to crocodiles and other predators. There are number of other activities like hot air ballooning over Savana grass land which can be done in Kenya. From Nairobi road travel to Masai Mara takes 5 to 6 hours, it is approx. 260 km distance. One can also opt for smaller aeroplanes that ply to Mara from Nairobi. Weather
Temperature at Masai Mara during day time is 25 to 28 degree Celsius. During night it drops from 13 to 10 degree Celsius. Being close to equator it has sunlight of 12 hours throughout the year. July to October is cool dry season. Late July, entire August and early September are best times to visit for great migration experience.
