Places to Visit & Importance in Amritsar

Sri Harmandir Sahib, popularly known as Golden temple

Known as one of the holiest Gurdwara in India, Golden temple welcomes each and all with open arms. With no caste differentiation, it stands as a symbol of human brotherhood and equality.

Jallianwala Baug Massacre

The bloodshed of over 1,000 peaceful protestors by the British Army in a walled public garden in Amritsar in 1919. There has built a memorial in the memory of peaceful people which has been marked as a nationally significant place.

Wagah Border

The border crossing draws its name from Wagah, near which the Radcliffe Line, At the time of independence in 1947, migrants from India entered Pakistan through this border crossing. The place is quite popular for the daily parade marsh and flag show, two hours before sunset. Many travelers gather at the Wagah border to witness this show, truly a patriotic feeling.

Places to Visit & Importance in Mcleodgang and Dharamshala

In the search of ‘Nirvana’ many souls come to Dharamshala. The Dharamshala where his holiness, the Dalai Lama resides. This Little Tibet with monks and monasteries, is a real gateway to a peaceful atmosphere. You will find the Tibetan ambience in every corner of the cafes and corridors at this hill station nestled in Himachal Pradesh. Just 6.2 km ahead is Mcleodganj.

Situated in the Himalayas, Dharamshala and McLeodGanj are the popular places which are always under the spotlight. These Monk towns, have really splendid views and extraordinary places to visit like the Monasteries and the unique cafes in the mountains.

    Day 1: Delhi To Amritsar

    Meet the Trikon Lead at Nizamuddin Railway Station / Kashmere Gate by 18:00 Hrs (6:00 pm). Overnight Journey from Delhi to Amritsar by Train / Bus ( Depend on the availabilty )

    Day 2: 

    Warm welcome to Amritsar, the city famous for the Bravehearts and the holy Golden Temple. Check in and freshen up as we assign you your rooms. Today, we intend to cover some popular places like the Harmandir Saheb Gurudwara(Night view), popularly known as Golden Temple. We will take you for both morning as well as night view, to witness this religious destination is full glory. The next destination on the list is Jallianwala Baug Massacre, the blood shed that happened here still speaks about the cowardly act which took hundreds of innocent lives. You will also have some time to shop for local handicrafts and fulkari from the adjacent markets. Do try the langar at the Gurudwara, Karha prasad and delicious kulcha naan at local dhabas. Before the sunsets, we take you to Wagah Border to see the military practise and roaring crowd cheering for their country. You can see the Pakistan side as well from a distance. Try being there early to grab the best seat at the front.

    Day 3:

    Good morning! Wake up in Amritsar and freshen up to visit Golden temple in the morning, have breakfast and leave for McLeodganj. The journey takes about 4-5 hours. Once you reach McLeodganj check in to your hotel and relax for a while. When in McLeodganj café hopping is a must do, just to soak into the Tibetan vibes. You can also shop for Tibetan souvenirs and eat lip smacking local food.

    Day 4:

    Wake up in Mcleodganj and get ready to explore Dharamshala. These two places add beauty to the Kangra valley. Today, we will cover the Himachal Pradesh Stadium in Dharamsala, which boasts of a capacity of 23,000, it is as picturesque as the Adelaide Oval and Newlands. Later visit to the Tea Garden, Where you can sip on variety of Tea and click some pics among plantations. We will also take you to see the Bhagsu Waterfall. A small trek to the Shiva café nearby will give you the much-needed break from city chaos. The waterfall is magnificent and looks stunning, you will love clicking pictures here.

    Day 5: 

    Hello Trikoners! Today, we will visit the Norbulingka Institute, Where you can learn about Tibetan arts and culture. Post that we will leave for BIR, the most happening paragliding destination of India. The journey is picturesque and it wont take more than 2-3 hrs for you to reach BIR. Post Lunch we head for Bir Billing, which is the highest paragliding spot in India and 2nd highest in the world. Get into your gears and fly in the air with trained professionals. We will experience the sunset at Bir Landing site with a bowl of maggi. Then we head to our hotel, do some local walk tour and conclude the day by having dinner in local restaurant.

    Day 6:

    Good morning! Wake up in the scintillating hill station of BIR. Get ready, sip your favourite coffee and get going. You can go cycling in BIR, relax amidst the mountains and visit the cafes. You can take evening bus for Delhi. Overnight in bus. Trip ends with happy memories.

    Day 7:


    Reach Delhi in the morning and take your train or flight post 10 am
