Three Gujarat headliners in one trip. Dholavira, the Rann of Kutch and Bhuj, with a full day given to each instead of the usual rushed pass.
Dholavira is the reason this itinerary exists. These are ancient ruins that have sat on Khadir Bet island for 4,500 years. Walk the reservoirs and the street grid and the Harappan water engineering starts to land. Barely any crowd out there. People stop talking on their own.
The white desert follows, and the cultural fest with it. Rann Utsav brings folk music, bazaars, Bandhani and mirrorwork, plus a bonfire night with local artists performing under the stars.
Bhuj closes the trip with palaces, Bhujodi textiles and a proper local street food trail. Kutchi dabeli, fafda jalebi, gathiya and pani puri, finishing with rabdi and sweet pickles from Khawda.
