Overview

Popti is a traditional get together food party (bbq style) of north konkan. With the fall of temperature, there is a presentiment of popti parties everywhere. Popti is made in a clay pot,which resembles tandoor. but food made in popti has the unique taste which lasts on your tongue all the time and the memories of it in your mind. With simple clay pots, bhamburdi (local herb) & carom seeds , we roast waal pods (a kind of beans),peas, eggplant, onions, potatoes, eggs, chicken and all veg delicacy to its heavenly taste and finally serve it with love.

    • Itinerary

    Day 0: Saturday

    05:00 pm  Meet Trikon Team outside Karjat Station

    05:15 pm  Travel to Karjat campsite through local transportation 

    06:15 pm  Reach campsite and freshen up

    06:45 pm  Post Evening Snacks, Allotment of tents to participants

    06:00 pm  Get ready for the chill to set in along with a popti feast on it way

    09:00 pm  Dinner time

    10:30 pm  Campfire or lights out and we call it a day.

    Day 1: Sunday

    07:00 am Wake-up call

    09:00 am  Breakfast

    10:00 am  Leave for Karjat Station and the event concludes.

    Things to Carry

    • Identity Card

    • 1 ltrs water

    • Torch with new cells

    • Enerzyl powder or Glucon D powder

    • Snacks & biscuits

    • Extra sets of clothes

    • Clean napkin or towel

    • Cap, sunglasses, scarf

    • Haversack or backpack (No sling bags)

    • Camera (optional)

    • Please carry personal medicines, if any

    • Hand Sanitizer

     IMPORTANT:Avoid wearing precious Jewellery while trekking, as Trikon won’t be responsible for any losses for the same.

    Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without refund.
