Day 0 Friday - Mumbai to Bijapur:  Say Good Bye to Mumbai Folks!

Get ready to rush from your work and be at your nearest boarding station to catch a train for Bijapur from Mumbai CST: 21:20, Dadar: 21:30, Kalyan: 22:15. However, reporting time should be 20 minutes before the train arrival time. So that you can catch up with the lead and bond over cool conversations. Board the train and be seated at the allocated seat numbers. Spend the night in train by chilling out together or play UNO Cards. Have dinner and sleep tight.

 

Day 1 Saturday- Mumbai to Bijapur: Welcome to Bijapur

Wake up at 7 am as our Trikon buddy gives you the wake-up call! 7:30 am we get down at the iconic Vijayapura Station and move towards the Hotel via Tempo Traveller bus or Innova. Reach the hotel within 10 minutes and check in. Freshen up and come down for breakfast. Post breakfast, we have a short introduction round and proceed towards our first destination. Gol-Gumbaz is the second largest dome in the world and India’s largest dome. We spend an hour exploring this heritage with our guide who shares insights about it. Post which, we precede towards Ibrahim Rouza, considered as one of the finest monument of Karnataka built by Ibrahim Adil Shah II. It exhibits an alluring grace and provides an excellent insight into the Islamic architecture of the era. Have lunch and rest for a while before we proceed to the Bara Kaman the remains of the ruined mosque forming archs on the sky, apt for clicking stun worthy pictures. In the evening we cover 6O Kabar or graves of Afzal Khan’s wives, will tell about this during the trip alongside we also visit the last destination for today i.e Afzal Khan’s cenotaphs. In the evening come back to the hotel and relax. At, 9 pm come for the dinner and market exploring round. Come back to hotel by 10 pm and sleep tight.

 

Day 2 Sunday -  Mumbai to Bijapur: Holy Shiva!

Wake up at 7 am. Get ready by 8 am and check out. We have our breakfast and move towards Shivagiri, an 85 feet tall statue of Lord Shiva that has been installed by the T.K. Patil. Connect yourself with this place and meditate for a while before we leave for Bijapur and complete the remaining sights. We come to Malik-i-Maidan and feel stunned by its magnificent structure. We then complete exploring the remaining small structures like Upri Buruz, Asar Mahal and Gagan Mahal. Have lunch in the city at around 2:30 pm and explore any place if left on day 1. If time permits we can explore Almatti Dam of Bijapur. Reach station half an hour before the time to freshen up. Board train and leave for Mumbai.

 

Day 3 Monday - Mumbai to Bijapur: Farewell!

Reach Mumbai at 8 am in the morning and set off to work !!!

 

Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without refund.

Fitness & Health – Though trekking is a fun-filled activity, it demands good amount of physical fitness. If you are under medication, please carry your medicines. During the trek, leaders will have over the counter medication for temporary treatment, so do give a heads up to them if you need any medical assistance.
