How to reach Chikmaglur?

Train: We have Mumbai-Mumbai Train package, so you can think of joining us from Mumbai itself, however train seats are limited. Do check with us for availability.

Bus or Flight: You can come to Chikmaglur via Banglore or Kerala as well. We will meet you at Kadur railway station.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 0: 31st Aug, Wednesday: Board Train To Chikmagalur

Meet your Trikon buddy and board your DR MYSURU SPL (01035) train to Chikmaglur at 9:30 pm from Dadar and it stops at Kalyan too. Get dinner packed or have it before boarding. Be seated at your allocated seats. Do let us know if you want specific seats due to medical reasons. Play games for a while and introduce each other. Sleep tight. Do carry a light bedsheet for the train journey. Overnight in train.

Day 1: 01st Sept, Thursday: Reach Chikmagalur

Wake up and have your meals in the train. Get along with the group as our group lead engages you in fun games such as Mafia, Black queen, and many more. The train journey is very scenic so keep your cameras handy. You will come across foggy trails and waterfalls on route. Reach Chikmaglur and take a short drive to reach the homestay. Once you reach there get settled in your respective rooms and freshen up. Remember the lead is waiting to take you for a short homestay tour to show you how beautiful the stay destination is. Sip in Chikmaglur’s famous coffee with a few biscuits and spend the evening in leisure so that you are prepped up for 2 fun days that are approaching. Have homemade dinner and sleep tight as you have to wake up early the next day.

Day 2: 02nd Sept, Friday: Explore Mullayanagiri Hills and Waterfalls

Wake up to chirping birds and freshen up. Make sure your roomie wakes up too! Report at the breakfast table as your Trikon buddy is waiting to see you all excited and pumped up. Have Tea/Coffee along with lip-smacking south Indian breakfast before you start the tour in force traveler bus. Our first destination today would be Mullayangiri Hills, this destination is worth a Google search. Known as the highest peak in Karnataka, Mullayanagiri Hills look breathtaking. You can either trek or reach via vehicle to the highest point and click beautiful pictures there. This adventure is worth your time and energy. The greenery and carpet-covered peaks will give you much-needed freshness. Post this we continue our sightseeing plans with Hebbe falls, Hirekolale lake, Jhari falls, and Coffee museum where you get know-how of how Chikmaglur got its famous coffee. We retire the trip by 6 pm and return to the hotel by 7 pm. Relax and rejuvenate for an hour or so. Come together at 8:30 pm and play fun games. 9:00 pm is dinner time so sleep well.

Day 3: 03rd Sept, Saturday: Sightseeing Day (Offbeat Places): 

Wake up early & Freshen up and do a short morning walk trail. Have breakfast and leave for sightseeing. Start your stay with Photo point, which is considered the best place to have the hill view for pictures. Explore the famous Belur temple and roam around coffee estates. Take a short lunch break and visit Mahatma Gandhi Park. Post which, we go to the much-awaited Siri café where you get to click an amazing selfie with the beautiful sleeping lady statue. Shop for souvenirs at the local market and come back to the homestay. Be back by 7 pm and start wrapping up your luggage as the next day we have to depart. Relax and rejuvenate. Have dinner together and sleep well or stay awake to make the most of this night.

Day 4: 04th Sept, Sunday: Sunrise Trail and Leave for Mumbai

Today wake up at 6 am and freshen up. Breakfast at 7 am and check out. Catch a few sunrise glimpses and reach the station to board the PDY DR EXP (01006) train for Mumbai at 9.30 am . This marks the end of the trip however the fun field train journey continues.

Day 5: 05th Sept, Monday: Reach Mumbai

Reach Mumbai by 6 am in the morning to disperse with a promise to meet again and happy memories.

Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Anybody found consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without refund.

Fitness & Health – Though this event is a fun-filled activity, it demands good amount of physical fitness. If you are under medication, please carry your medicines. During the trek, leaders will have over the counter medication for temporary treatment, so do give a heads up to them if you need any medical assistance.
