Overview

Ganesh Utsav, also known as Ganesh Chaturthi, is one of the most vibrant and widely celebrated festivals in Mumbai. Festival is celebrated for Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the god of new beginnings. The city comes alive with colorful processions, devotional music, and elaborately decorated pandals (temporary structures) housing beautiful idols of Ganesha.

The atmosphere during Ganesh Utsav is electric, with chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” echoing through the streets, and people from all walks of life coming together to celebrate. It’s a time of joy, devotion, and community spirit, making it a truly special experience in Mumbai.

Itinerary

Meeting Point : Parel Railway station 10 pm 

 From here we will start our walk in Lalbaug-Parel area. We will visit some iconic Pandals around like Parel cha raja, Tejukaya Mansion, Chintamani. Few of them have legacy of almost 100 years. Visit to popular Pandals like lalbaug cha raja depends on rush.

From here we will move towards Girgaon area. We will visit 12 gallis of khetwadi where each galli has its own Pandal. Later Proceed to Girgaon cha Raja and Keshavji Naik Chawl where Lokmanya Tilak started First ever sarvajanik Ganesh utsav in Mumbai.

Finally we will Visit Fort cha Raja near CSMT. Our trip will end at CSMT by morning 6-7 am.
