Day 1 : Welcome to Colombo!
After arriving at the Colombo International Airport, our Trikon escort will guide you to your hotel in Dambulla/Sigiriya. On the way to the hotel you will visit a very popular tourist attraction in Sri Lanka, the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
This orphanage is a very special one as it different from the rest. This orphanage provides shelter and take care of the abandoned, lost and injured elephants. You can visit this place to see the caretakers taking care of the elephants with all the love they have. You will see them feeding, bathing the elephants at the nearby river where they play and have the best time in the river water. Your heart will surely melt as you see them taking care of this beautiful huge animal.
The Dambulla Cave Temple is your next destination on this trip. This Cave temple is the largest cave temple compound in Sri Lanka. Not 5 not 30 there are total 80 caves here which are waiting for you to be explored. These caves exists since the 3rd century BCE. There are 5 main caves which are dedicated to the Buddha. You will see the Buddhist shrines, ancient paintings and many Buddha sculptors in these caves. The stupa was built in the 5thcentury AD. If you look closely you will see a very unique and magnificent painting of the Buddha when a demon named Mara tempting the Buddha. Among the paintings, two of the most magnificent depict the temptation.
Now it is time for some hot dinner followed by an overnight stay at hotel in Dambulla / Sigiriya.
Day 2 : Dambulla To Kandy
Wake up to a refreshing morning. A scrumptious breakfast will be served. Get ready for a very exciting city tour. In this tour you will visit one of the wonders of the ancient world which is also a UNESCO site-the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This Rock was Castle which was built by the King Kasyapa.
Our next destination the Gem Museum. Shimmering with gems this museum boasts Sri Lanka's finest quality of gems which are the finest in the world. The richness of this place will be seen in the precious gems like Semi-precious gems, the sapphires of Sri Lanka. These are the most precious and they are in shades of blue, red, green, white etc.
This will be followed by cultural show in Kandy. Later dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay at a hotel in Kandy.
Day 3 : Lets Tour Kandy!
Good morning Trikoners! Wake up to another refreshing morning. Today we head towards a very sacred place in the city of Kandy. Being a sacred place for Buddhist all over the world, this city is going to be a very peaceful experience.
In this city we will be visiting the sacred place named as the Temple of the tooth Relic. It is known to the Sri Lankans as Dalada Maligawa. After visiting this beautiful place we will be heading towards the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Sri Lanka is very popular for its Ayurveda. Hence this place the right place for those who are looking for a break from the monotonous routine and want to dive into the arms of nature. You will come across over 300 varieties of elegant flowers like orchids, medicinal plants which are used for Ayurveda, spices and palm trees.
After this enchanting experience proceed to enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay at a hotel in Kandy.
Day 4 : Kandy – Nuwara Eliya here we come!
Gear up Trikoners as today a very interesting day as we head towards the NuwaraEliya City for a tour. After a hot breakfast we leave towards the major attractions of the city tour which are the playful golf course, trout streams, beautiful Victoria Park, and boating or fun fishing.
Now it is time for a refreshing moment. As we hear the word refreshing, the first thing that comes to mind is a cup of hot tea. Let us see how does this refreshing tea grows in a working tea factory and also see the world's finest Orange Pekoe Tea.
You can also visit the Seetha Eliya and Hakgala Gardens. Seetha Eliya is the temple which was mentioned in the epic,Ramayana. Hakgala Gardens is a hill country garden which is at its utmost beauty wherever you go as the languid low-country lotus and Water Lily which floats welcomes you.
Dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 5 : Nuwara Eliya – Bentota
After the breakfast, your destination for today will be Bentota known as the city of golden beaches. Here at the beach you will find something really unique than the rest of the beaches you have visited. You will find turtles which come at the shore to lay their eggs. This would be a really beautiful site to see along with the melody of the waves twining with the harmony of the winds.
For the next destination we head towards the beautiful Madu River. Here you can enjoy the Madu River boat safari and watch the various plant series at the banks of the river, which are also covered with mangroves. Speciality of this heaven of Earth is that the river water is mixed with the sea water none like other rivers.
Dinner will be served at night followed by an overnight stay at a hotel in Bentota.
Day 6: Bentota – Colombo (Approx. 2 hrs 30 mins)
Good morning Colombo! Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka was named by the Portuguese in 1505 which is believed to be derived from the name Kolomthota. You will be taken to a very popular place in Colombo is Galle Face Green. This city is filled with places that are a major tourist attraction. You will be taken on an orientation tour covering places like the National Museum(Drive pass) Viharamahadevi Park, Fort district Twin World Trade Centre towers, Old Parliament Building, Independence Hall at Independence Square, and and prominent Buddhist, Hindu, Islam and Christian places of worship. Later
for taking home souvenirs you may visit Odel, House of Fashion, Beverly Street, Majestic City, Noritake, etc.
After this busy day, have a scrumptious dinner followed by an overnight stay in a hotel in Colombo.
Day 7 : Depart Colombo
Today we will be returning back to home sweet home. After breakfast, you will head towards the airport according to the flight timings.
Passport should be valid until six months after the trip.
Passport should have at least five pages free.
Visa is to be applied at least 2 weeks before the trip. ( Visa is free at the moment )
Name on flight ticket should match with that on passport

This trip is for age group of 18-50 years old. We may make an exception in some cases.
We are extremely strict about women's safety. Any misbehavior with women within the group or outside the group will lead to immediate expulsion.
You are an adult and have to take full responsibility at all times and respect other cultures.
You have to follow all the instructions told by the trip leader at all times.

Flight Timings and Options:
· Arrival at Colombo Airport (Bandaranaike International Airport) should be before 11:30 AM on Day 1
· Departure from Colombo Airport (Bandaranaike International Airport) should be after 8.30 PM on Day 7
· Direct flights are available from all major cities in India to Colombo
· Alternatively, you can book flight tickets from Chennai to Colombo and return. Travelling to Chennai can be done via Train/Bus or any other more economical mode of transport.
Note: We can arrange alternate stay arrangements for you if you reach Colombo earlier than arrival date or leave later than the departure date. Additional charges in this case will be borne by the participant.
Visa Assistance: Visa assistance will be provided by us for people having a valid Indian Passport post confirmation of the event with a nominal fee.
Currency Assistance: Most places throughout Sri Lanka only accept Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR) as currency. It can easily be exchanged with Indian Currency (INR) at the Colombo airport. Apart from this, USD is accepted at some places in Colombo and also at all entry fee checkpoints throughout the country.
IMPORTANT: Avoid wearing precious Jewelry during the event, as Trikon won’t be responsible for any losses for the same.
Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without refund.
Fitness & Health – Though this event is a fun-filled activity, it demands good amount of physical fitness. If you are under medication, please carry your medicines. During the trek, leaders will have over the counter medication for temporary treatment, so do give a heads up to them if you need any medical assistance.
