Fireflies Special Kondane Cave Trek

Explore the remnants of the Buddhist Era at Kondane Caves Karjat while searching for Fireflies. This ancient caves and formations speak volumes about the Buddhist architecture. These caves enclose sculptures, vihara, chaitya and stupa. This cave group has 16 Buddhist caves. The caves were excavated in first century B.C.

Leave behind the city chaos and lose yourself to the mountains by spending some fun time with the glowing fireflies. Just walk along the dense forest and quietly observe these bio-luminescent bodies twinkling all around known as fireflies. Yes, it’s a moment to feel surprised and get awed by these little wonders.

About Kondane

Kondane caves located at Rajmachi is also a known destination to trekkers and monsoon explorers. Thanks to its easy ascend; it can be easily reached from the base. It is the base village for Rajmachi the famous Karjat- Lonavala trek.

Itinerary

Day 1: Saturday

03:30 pm    Meet the Trikon Team at Karjat Station

04:30 pm    Reach base village. Enjoy  Evening Snacks Post Introduction Round

05:30 pm    Set Up the Tent next to Kondane Village

07:00 pm    Start Night Trek Till Kondane Caves to Spot the numerous Fireflies

10:00 pm     Back to Camping Site , Enjoy local cuisine for dinner

11:00 pm     Campfire and Story Sessions

Day 2: Sunday

06:30 am        Wake up call and freshen up

08:30  am        Have breakfast

10:00 am        Start return journey to Karjat

11:00 am        Reach Karjat Station

01:00 pm        Reach CST
