Muldai Himalayan Trek - Nepal


Muldai View Point Trek is a short and scenic trek in the Annapurna region, Nepal’s largest conservation area. You can enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks, such as Annapurna, Gangapurna, Fishtail, Lamjung Himal, Dhaulagiri Range, Himchuli and more, from a height of 3637 meters. This trek is ideal for those who want to avoid crowded trails and explore the lush rhododendron forest and the charming Gurung Village. Ghandruk, a famous Gurung settlement, was featured in CNN Travel’s list of 13 most picturesque towns in Asia in 2019.

    Day 1 : 03rd March, Sunday

    Report at Pokhara Pokhara is a city on Phewa Lake. Pokhara, Tourist Capital of Nepal, is the second most populated city of Nepal after Kathmandu. How to reach Pokhara from Mumbai? Take a flight which is via Kathmandu which is 4 hours which is the easiest way. You can also fly to Gorakhpur and cross Sanauli which is India – Nepal Border Checkpoint and travel to Pokhara. Explore the local cuisine, get briefed about the trek and Retire for the day.

    Day 2 : 04th March, Monday

    Pokhra to Ghandruk ( Kimche) Today our trek begins from Pokhara. We will drive from Pokhara to Ghandruk which takes approx. 4 hours and a trek of about 2 hours which is 3kms in distance. Gandruk is at an altitude of 1940mts. Explore the village in the evening and enjoy the sunset view in the mountain of Annapurna 3 and Machhapuchre. Overnight in Ghandruk.

    Day 3 : 05th March, Tuesday

    Ghandruk to Tadapani We will wake up early for Sunrise view from Ghandruk today. We will have our breakfast outdoors and enjoy the view of the mountains and Sun in the lap of nature. Post breakfast, we shall hike towards Tadapani. Today`s hike is about 3-4 hours and 7kms in distance. Overnight in Tadapani at the altitude of 2600mts.

    Day 4 : 06th March, Wednesday

    Tadapani to Dobato Today morning starts with Mt Machhapuchhre, Mt Annapurna, Mt Himchuli, Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt Nilgiri amiling at us. We shall hike to Dobato which is situated at an elevation of 3350mts and takes about 4-5 hours to cover a distance of 6.5kms. Overnight in Dobato.

    Day 5 : 07th March, Thursday

    Dobato – Ghorepani via Muldai Hill Top Today we start our climb at 5am to Muldai Hill top for witnessing the magnificent Sunrise and panoramic mountains view. Post that we shall trek down to Ghorepani which is located at an altitude of 2878mts. The descend will be of 5-6 hours where we shall cover a distance of 9kms.

    Day 6 : 08th March, Friday

    Ghorepani – Ulleri Today we will have our breakfast and hike down towards Ulleri which is a 3- 4 hours of descend.

    Drive back to Pokhara. This is where our Muldai Hill top trek ends.


    Things to Carry

    • Backpack (min 60 Ltrs) with rain cover
    • 1Lunch Box
    • Daypack to carry necessary things for a day (20 litres)
    • Trekking Shoes (MH100 recommended)
    • 3 pairs of full sleeve shirts/T-shirts
    • 2 pairs of trekking/track pants
    • 3 pairs of cotton socks. 2 pairs of woollen socks
    • 1 full sleeve sweater
    • 1 fleece jacket (preferable)
    • One padded/down jacket
    • Thermal inners - 1 Pair
    • Lunch box and water bottle
    • 1 pair of slippers
    • 1 pair of water-resistant gloves
    • Raincoat/ Poncho/ -Windcheater (No umbrellas please!)
    • Sun cap
    • 1 scarf/neck-warmer/balaclava
    • 1 Light towel
    • Personal toilet kit – Must contain Face-wash, Toothpaste, toothbrush, Cold cream, Lip balm and sunscreen (SPF 40+)
    • 1 Toilet paper roll
    • 2 water bottles (1 Litre each)
    • Headlamp or torch with fresh pair of batteries
    • Personal medical kit
    • Dark sunglasses (UV protected)
    • 1 Walking stick
    • Enerzal Powder or Glucon D powder
    • Snacks & Biscuits
       

    Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without refund.

    Fitness & Health – Though trekking is a fun-filled activity, it demands good amount of physical fitness. If you are under medication, please carry your medicines. During the trek, leaders will have over the counter medication for temporary treatment, so do give a heads up to them if you need any medical assistance.
