This itinerary is unusual as compared to the other Leh Ladakh plans. We enter deep into the unexplored and quaint villages of Turtuk and see the not seen monasteries of Leh Ladakh. Also, covering Magnetic hill, Pathir Sahib Gurudwara and Hall of Fame the Siachen museum. Throughout the tour our local guide talks about all the destinations so that you don’t just see you also take home a piece of knowledge.

Itinerary

Day 1: 21st Sept 2019 - Arrival & Acclimatization 

Arrive at Leh. Due to sudden temperature and weather change, the body needs some time for Acclimatization. Spend the day in your hotel rooms admiring the mesmerizing views. We would stay in 3 star hotels with good amenities and modern facilities. In the evening you can go for a casual walk to the Leh market. Have dinner at the hotel and retire for the day.

Day 2: 22nd  Sept 2019 - Leh Local Sightseeing Part 1 

Today, you wake up to the beautiful view and get ready to explore a few local places. We take this day at ease, by just covering a few prominent places as we want you to take enough rest during the first few days. Our plan for today would be exploring Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery, Rancho’s School, Shey Palace, Leh palace(Optional) and Shanti Stupa at the end. You can have lunch at local places that serve delicious food. Evening come back to hotel and rest for the day. Dinner and retire.

Day 3: 23rd  Sept 2019 - Leh Local Sightseeing Part 2  

The beautiful city of Leh is waiting to be explored more. Today, have a delicious breakfast at the hotel and post briefing leave for the local sightseeing. Explore one of the most prominent however often missed out monastery of Leh. Post which we visit the ever patriotic spot in Leh the Hall of Fame museum which has crucial information about the Siachen army and their battle hood. Have lunch at Leh and start with your remaining sightseeing places.  We also cover the famous Pathir Sahib Gurudwara you can do some seva here and have Prasad too. Further explore Magnetic Hill and click those famous on road pictures here. Today we end the day earlier as we want you to grab some rest as from tomorrow your journey begins. If time permits you can explore the market on foot. Dinner and retire for the day.

Day 4:  24th Sept 2019 - Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La - 125 kms (4-5 hours) /Overnight stay in Nubra Valley 

We make our way across the Khardung La Pass, situated at 18,380ft, the world’s highest motorable road, to enter the mystic Nubra Valley. Sandwiched between the Karakoram Range to the north and Ladakh range to the south, lie the Shyok and Nubra Rivers. The villages of Nubra are scattered along these two valley-floors. Given the relatively low altitude, a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and grains are grown in this area. Post tea, we leave for the infamous dunes at Hunder, a rare cold desert at such altitude! Ride the unique double-humped Bactrian camels here, one of the two places in the entire world where they can be found! We play some games and relax as we witness another wonderful sunset amongst the vast expanse of the landscape there.

The day ends with an overnight tent stay under the magnificent night sky full of stars!

Day 5: 25th Sept 2019 - Nubra Valley to Turtuk Day Visit (2-2.5 hours) 83 Kms 

Wake up at your swiss camps in Nubra valley and get ready as we today we wish to spend the day at the evergreen and most loved offbeat destination in Nubra the Turtuk village.  It is the last village on India Pakistan border. India’s last major settlement, Turtuk, is predominantly Muslim but does have a couple of gompas overlooking the Shyok river as well. Turtuk, a beautiful gem, is the last northernmost village in India. You can thank us later for bringing you to this quaint green heaven which looks way different from the deserted land of ladakh. It is a village where you can experience a totally different culture expressed in the way people look, behave, dress. Some of the villagers are descenders from central Asia which adds a further cultural mix to the place. Visit Turtuk Gompa and Balti museum to get some more feel of this village. Have lunch at a local place and come back to Nubra valley for spending the night under the stars. Have dinner, play some fun games and sleep tight.

Day 6: 26th Sept 2019 - Nubra to to Leh 125kms (6-7 hours)  

After an early breakfast, we visit the Diskit Monastery.

Also, if time permits, visit Stok Palace and Museum. Stok offers amazing views of the Stok Range, including the highest peak there, Stok Kangri(20,187 feet), a well-known peak for budding mountaineers. Drive back to Leh, and end with an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: 27th Sept 2019 - Leh to Pangong Tso to Leh – 150 kms (4-5 hours) / Overnight stay at Leh 

The most fascinating highlight of any Leh trip, today we pay a visit to Pangong Lake, which is the largest brackish water lake in Asia. Two-thirds of the lake lies in China. To get there, we travel via Chang La, the third highest motorable road in the world, at 17,586 feet. On our way there, you will get a chance to witness cuteness overload in the form of an animal called Mormot, a rare species. Start your journey towards Leh and spend the night at the hotel for reviving yourself.

Day 8: 28th Sept 2019 - Departure Leh hotel to Airport

Wake up! Pack your bags and check out from the hotel to reach Airport. Reach Mumbai to ensure your trip concludes with happy memories only.
